Youth Programs - Campus Chapters

What is a Campus Chapter?

A campus chapter is a student-led, student-initiated organization on a high school or college campus that partners with Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat to fulfill the four functions of a campus chapter: building, fundraising, educating, and advocating.

How Do I Start a Campus Chapter?

Generate interest in Habitat for Humanity on your campus and develop a core group of students and faculty. Contact T/PC Habitat affiliate to schedule a volunteer day on the worksite and schedule an event.

Before you apply to become a Habitat for Humanity campus chapter, be sure to read the Prospective Campus Chapters Toolkit. This toolkit is a collection of resources to help you learn more about the Campus Chapters program as well as start organizing your campus chapter. Once you follow the steps detailed in the Prospective Campus Chapters Toolkit, you will be prepared to complete the campus chapter application.

Download the Prospective Campus Chapters Toolkit (PDF format).
