Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity serves all of Pierce County. The affiliate includes chapters in the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula area and the East Pierce County area.

Habitat for Humanity builds simple, decent houses in partnership with low-income families.  An average Habitat house requires monthly payments of about $700 to cover the mortgages, taxes, and insurance. Habitat makes no profit and charges zero interest on the mortgage loan. Habitat for Humanity invests the mortgage payments in the building of more houses.
